This section lists the HSCL 14xx error codes.
Note: The following error messages and recovery actions might include procedures
that are not available on the DS8000®
management console. If in doubt, contact the next level of support. If you are
instructed to shut down the management console, then you must first verify that the customer is not
currently performing DS8000 actions through
the management console ESSNI connection.

| 1400 | The firmware operation failed. | Try the task again. If the problem persists, contact your next level of support. |
| 1401 | An error was detected using the current management console's network configuration. A duplicate IP address and system hostname might be the cause of this problem. Verify this system's network settings via the 'Customize Network Settings' task. This management console's network interface has been temporarily disabled and the hostname set to 'localhost.localdomain'. |

| 1402 | This operation failed due to following reasons: {0}. | |
| 1403 | Could not display the {0} dialog. Try the operation again. |
|
| 1450 | There is an insufficient number of unallocated processors to perform the operation. |
|
| 1451 | Attempted to allocate a number of processors below the minimum processor setting. |
|
| 1452 | Attempted to allocate a number of processors above the maximum processor setting. |
|
| 1453 | There is an insufficient amount of unallocated processing units to perform the operation. |
|
| 1454 | Attempted to allocate an amount of processing units below the minimum processing unit setting. |
|
| 1455 | Attempted to allocate an amount of processing units above the maximum processing setting. |
|
| 1456 | The processor setting exceeds the maximum system configuration. |
|
| 1457 | There is an insufficient amount of unallocated memory to perform the operation. |
|
| 1458 | Attempted to allocate an amount of memory below the minimum memory setting. |
|
| 1459 | Attempted to allocate an amount of memory above the maximum memory setting. |
|
| 145A | The minimum memory amount is below the required amount of memory with the maximum specified. |
|
| 145B | There is an insufficient amount of unallocated 5250 CPW to perform the operation. |
|
| 145C | Attempted to allocate an amount of 5250 CPW below the minimum setting. |
|
| 145D | Attempted to allocate an amount of 5250 CPW above the maximum setting. |
|
| 145E | Attempted to allocate processing units greater than the maximum capacity allowed with the specified virtual processor setting. |
|
| 145F | Attempted to allocate processing units less than the minimum capacity allowed with the specified virtual processor setting. |
|
| 1460 | Attempted to set maximum processing units greater than the maximum capacity allowed with the specified virtual processor setting. |
|
| 1461 | Attempted to set maximum processing units less than the minimum capacity allowed with the specified virtual processor setting. |
|
| 1462 | Attempted to set minimum processing units greater than the maximum capacity allowed with the specified virtual processor setting. |
|
| 1463 | Attempted to set minimum processing units less than the minimum capacity allowed with the specified virtual processor setting. |
|
| 1464 | The partition is not currently configured for shared processing. |
|
| 1465 | The partition is not currently configured for dedicated processing. |
|
| 1466 | The partition specified is not valid. Rebuild the managed system and try again. |
|
| 1467 | The type of partition specified is not compatible with the operation. |
|
| 1468 | The I/O pool ID specified is not valid. |
|
| 1469 | The shared processor pool ID specified is not valid. |
|
| 146A | The I/O adapter: {0} is not valid. |
|
| 146B | The partition name specified has already been used by another partition. Specify a different name. | |
| 146C | The partition name specified is not acceptable. Check the name and try again. | |
| 146D | The partition is currently in a state where this configuration change is not allowed. Rebuild the managed system and try again. |
|
| 146E | The number of power controlling partitions for this partition is not valid. Check the setting and try again. |
|
| 146F | Changing from shared to dedicated processing is not allowed with the current processing setting. |
|
| 1472 | The SNI adapter: {0} specified is not valid. Check the entry and try again. |
|
| 1473 | Cannot perform atomic operation. Atomic operations are not enabled. |
|
| 1474 | The processing weight specified is not valid. Check the entry and try again. |
|
| 1475 | Unable to switch out or into manufacturing default configuration at this point. |
|
| 1477 | Unable to perform atomic operation(s) at this point since one is already in progress. |
|
| 1478 | The virtual I/O adapter type specified is not valid. Check the entry and try again. |
|
| 1479 | The atomic operation failed. |
|
| 147A | The RIO bus number: {0} is not valid. Check the entry and try again. |
|
| 147B | The hardware page table ratio specified is not valid. Check the entry and try again. |
|
| 147C | The I/O adapter: {0} cannot be assigned to the pool specified. |
|
| 147D | Cannot change the processing setting to uncapped. |
|
| 147E | The OptiConnect pool specified is not acceptable by the managed system. Check the entry and try again. |
|
| 147F | The HSL OptiConnect pool specified is not acceptable by the managed system. Check the entry and try again. |
|
| 1481 | Cannot perform this operation because the partition belongs to a workload management group joined by other partitions. |
