HSCL 15xx

This section lists the HSCL 15xx error codes.

Note: The following error messages and recovery actions might include procedures that are not available on the DS8000® management console. If in doubt, contact the next level of support. If you are instructed to shut down the management console, then you must first verify that the customer is not currently performing DS8000 actions through the management console ESSNI connection.

150B Cannot change the I/O pools of the partition since the partition is still using an I/O adapter participating in one of the pool IDs.  
150C Cannot use the I/O adapter: {0} since the partition is not part of the pool this adapter belongs to.  
150D Cannot use the I/O adapter: {0} because it is not available.

150E Cannot use the I/O adapter: {0} since it is configured under an I/O unit marked as switchable.  
150F Cannot vary off the I/O adapter: {0} because it is still in use by the partition.  
1510 This I/O adapter is marked as multi-hub reserving for shark partition.  
1511 Cannot use the I/O adapter: {0} because it is either used by another partition or an allocation is already in progress.  
1512 Cannot vary off the I/O adapter: {0} because the partition is not ready to release the adapter.  
1513 Cannot change the OptiConnect setting since the communication with the partition is still active.  
1514 The virtual I/O slot number specified is not valid.

1515 Cannot use a virtual slot number greater or equal to the maximum number of virtual slots allowed with this partition.

1516 Cannot specify additional virtual LAN IDs since this virtual Ethernet adapter is not IEEE compatible.

1517 The virtual slot number specified to query or set virtual slot information is not valid.

151A A virtual Ethernet trunk adapter with the same MAC address already exists.

151B Unable to delete the partition when there is a virtual terminal connection opened.
  1. Close the terminal session for the partition you want to delete.
  2. Retry the task.

151C Server adapter setting of the virtual slot: {0} is not valid.
  1. Ensure that the setting is valid.
  2. Retry the task.

151D The virtual adapter: {0} cannot be set up for management console connection.

151E Cannot have multicast MAC address for the virtual Ethernet trunk adapter.

152A Cannot switch out of manufacturing default mode because the managed system is in EEH.  
152D The managed system is not ready for the management console to extract partition and resource information.
  1. Retry the task.

1537 The partition is not responsive for dynamic resource configuration changes.
  1. Retry the task.

1538 There is an insufficient amount of memory for maintaining system firmware.  
1539 Memory configuration for the partition cannot be satisfied due to system memory usage limitation.  
1550 Firmware command: {0} failed due to the following {1} errors:{2}

1551 The firmware extended error code is {0}.
  1. Retry the task.

1552 The firmware operation failed with extended error.

157D Unable to query the association within the managed system. Log in as the proper user and use the correct association method.  
157E Unable to edit instance of {0}. Check user permissions, and then log in as the proper user and try editing again.
  1. Check your user role's permissions.
  2. If your user role does not permit the desired action, log out and log back in as the proper user, and retry the operation.
  3. If the problem persists, contact your next level of support.
157F Cannot find an instance of the object specified. Either there is no instance and it must be created or a path to the object was incorrect.
  1. Ensure that the inputs are correct.
  2. Rebuild the managed system. See MAP6620 Rebuilding managed system information for details. Then try the task again.
  3. If the problem persists, contact your next level of support.
1580 Improper number of arguments passed in: passed in = {0}, expected = {1}. Check the parameters of the invoked method.
  1. Verify that the command is being called correctly, and try the task again.
  2. If the problem persists, contact your next level of support.
1581 The method name {0} passed in the invoke method does not match the name of the method you are trying to invoke. Check the method name and the required parameters.
  1. Retry the task.

1582 The wrong path is being used for the object manager - {0}. Check the code for build CIMObjectPath and its contents.

1583 The wrong object manager method is being invoked.
  1. Retry the task.
  2. If the problem persists, contact your next level of support.
1584 You do not have the proper authorization or permission to perform this task. Log in as the proper user and try again. Log in with appropriate permissions to perform the task. If the problem persists, contact your next level of support.
1585 There was an unknown error while querying the object manager database.
  1. Try the task again.
  2. Shut down and restart the management console.
  3. If the problem persists, contact your next level of support.
1586 Cannot find an instance with object manager of {0}.
  1. Check the input.
  2. Rebuild the managed system. See MAP6620 Rebuilding managed system information for details. Then try the task again.
  3. If the problem persists, contact your next level of support.
1588 An exception was encountered while calling the method named {0}.
  1. Retry the operation.

159B The group number is invalid. Group numbers cannot contain any letters or characters other than the numbers 0 through 9. Enter the new group number again without alphabetic characters.
159C The Workload Management group number has to be between {0} and {1}. Enter a number inside the valid range for workload management group numbers.
15E7 The profile you tried to activate does not belong to the partition {0} you specified. Verify that you selected the correct LPAR profile to activate. If the operation still fails, contact your next level of support
