HSCL 19xx

This section lists the HSCL 19xx error codes.

Note: The following error messages and recovery actions might include procedures that are not available on the DS8000® management console. If in doubt, contact the next level of support. If you are instructed to shut down the management console, then you must first verify that the customer is not currently performing DS8000 actions through the management console ESSNI connection.

1965 Unable to determine the management console server's host name. Check the management console network settings under System Configuration and verify that they are correct.
  1. Check the management console Network Settings under System Configuration to verify that the settings are correct and that you have a valid host name for the management console.
  2. Contact your system or network administrator for network settings help.
1967 You must select one system profile to power on with or select Cancel. Select a system profile from the window or select Cancel to close the window.
1969 Could not retrieve information from the GUI server. Check your network configuration and connection. Check the management console network settings under System Configuration and verify that the settings are correct. If the problem persists, contact your next level of support.
196A Choose a new default profile from the list or select Cancel.

  2. Either choose a new default profile, or select Cancel.
  3. If the problem persists, contact your next level of support.
196B The object is not found in the data area. Refresh the interface.

1976 The ASM General Password has been set from another management console or ASM screen before this Update Password task completed. You must cancel out of the Update Password - Authentication Pending dialog and reselect this managed object to proceed.

  2. Restart the management console and try the task again.

1977 The ASM Administrator Password has been set from another management console or ASM screen before this Update Password task completed. You must cancel out of the Update Password - Authentication Pending dialog and reselect this managed object to proceed.

  2. There is a problem with the connection between the Console and the Managed System. Ensure the network is correctly configured between the Console and the Managed System.

1990 You have entered an incorrect password. Either the current management console access password specified is incorrect, or the management console access password has been changed already at another management console and the New management console access password you specified here is wrong. Correct the password(s), and then select OK once again from this dialog to retry the operation. Enter the correct management console access password.

1992 The management console access password specified is invalid. The new password must be at least {0} and no greater than {1} characters in length. Enter the new password again to proceed. Re-enter a password that conforms to the password rules.

If the problem persists, contact support.
