HSCL 8xxx

This section lists the HSCL 8xxx error codes.

Note: The following error messages and recovery actions might include procedures that are not available on the DS8000® management console. If in doubt, contact the next level of support. If you are instructed to shut down the management console, then you must first verify that the customer is not currently performing DS8000 actions through the management console ESSNI connection.

Error code Message Recovery action
8002 The managed system entered was not found. Please check your entry and retry the command.
  1. Ensure the inputs are correct.
  2. Retry the task.
  3. If the problem persists, contact IBM support.
8005 {0} could not be deleted because it was not found in the search order. Please retry the command.
  1. Retry the operation.
  2. If the problem persists, contact IBM support.
8008 An error occurred while trying to run corrective services. Please check your entry and retry the command. This is an unexpected error. Contact IBM support.
8009 An error occurred while attempting to remotely connect to the server. Please retry the command.
  1. An unexpected error occurred while trying to change the Web Server settings.
  2. Retry the command.
  3. If the problem persists, contact IBM support.
800A An error occurred while attempting to remotely connect to the server. Please retry the command.

  2. Retry the command.
  3. If the problem persists, contact IBM support.
800B An error occurred while attempting to change user interface server settings. Please retry the command.

800C An error occurred while attempting to change syslogd settings. Please retry the command.

800D Cannot specify both IP address and hostname. A syntax error occurred. Retry the command with only one of the options (IP address or hostname) specified.
800E An I/O exception occurred reading the file named: {0}. Please check the file and try again.

  2. Retry the command.
  3. If the problem persists, contact IBM support.
800F The partition profile named {0} was not found. Please check your entry and retry the command.
  1. Check the profile name entered to ensure that it is correct and retry the command.
  2. Rebuild the managed system and retry the operation. See MAP6620 Rebuilding managed system information for details.
  3. If the problem persists, contact IBM support.
8010 The system profile named {0} was not found. Please check your entry and retry the command.
  1. Ensure that the system profile entered was correct, and retry the command.
  2. If this does not work, the system profile might be corrupted. Restore the profile data. See MAP6660 Operation procedures that do not apply to DS8000 for details.
  3. If problem persists, delete and re-create a new system profile.
  4. If the problem persists, contact IBM support.
8011 The partition with ID {0} was not found. Please check your entry and retry the command.
  1. Ensure the correct partition ID was entered and retry the command.
  2. Rebuild the managed system and retry the operation. See MAP6620 Rebuilding managed system information for details.
  3. If the problem persists, contact IBM support.
8012 The partition named {0} was not found. Please check your entry and retry the command.
  1. Ensure you specified a valid partition.
  2. Retry the command.
  3. Rebuild the managed system. See MAP6620 Rebuilding managed system information for details.
  4. If the problem persists, contact IBM support.
8013 The partition specified for the {0} attribute was not found. Please correct the configuration data and retry the command.
  1. Ensure you specified a valid partition.
  2. Retry the command.

  4. If the problem persists, contact IBM support.
8016 An unknown error occurred while trying to perform this command. Retry the command. If the error persists, contact support.
