MAP0020 Problem determination procedure

Before you begin

All storage facility repair activity should be started from Start here. If you have not started from that procedure, go there now and start from the section Analyze and repair problems. If you did start from that section and the analysis procedures produced an SRN, then follow the steps below.

MAP0020 Section-1

Procedure

  1. Are there any open serviceable events related to the failing CEC?
    • Yes, fix the related problem; then return to the procedure that sent you to the SRN list.
    • No, go to step 2.
  2. Was more than one SRN or error code produced by the procedure that sent you here?
    • Yes, go to step 3.
    • No, contact your next level of support.
  3. Multiple SRNs and error codes should be handled in the following order:
    1. 8-Digit Error Codes.
    2. SRNs with a source code other than F or G.
    3. SRNs with a source code of F.
    4. SRNs with a source code of G.
    Note: The priority for multiple SRNs with a source of G is determined by the time stamp of the failure. Follow the action for the SRN with the earliest time stamp first.
    Perform the repair action for the highest priority SRN or error code in the order shown in the list above.
  4. Have all other SRNs and error codes been repaired?
    • Yes, contact your next level of support.
    • No, perform the repair action for the next SRN or error code in the list.
