MAP0270 SCSI RAID problem resolution and verification

Use this MAP to resolve SCSI RAID adapter, cache, or drive problems.

Before you begin

Note: Storage complex repair actions must always be managed from the management console. To replace any FRUs identified in this procedure, use Storage Facility Management > storage facility > Exchange Parts. If the FRUs are listed in this or another Serviceable Event, select them from there.

Important: All storage facility repair activity should be started from Start here. If you have not started from that procedure, go there now and start from the section Analyze and repair problems. If you did start from that section and the analysis procedures produced an SRN, follow the steps below.

Procedure

Replace the first part listed under Failing Function Code for the SRN. Then go to step 2.
Is the problem resolved?
- Yes, go to MAP1500 Ending a service action.
- No, go to step 3.
Are more parts listed under Failing Function Code for the SRN.
- Yes, replace the next part in the list then go to step 2.
- No, go to step 4.
Are other SRNs or error codes produced by the procedure that sent you here?
- Yes, complete the repair operation by performing the repair actions for those codes.
- No, contact your next level of support.
