The service processor detected hardware that was removed from the system configuration.

About this task

Reference code B150F138 continues to be logged every IPL and once a month after the last IPL until the hardware problem is resolved or until the logging for a specific deconfiguration event is disabled. A hardware deconfiguration problem might involve any of the following items:
  • Memory or processors
  • Service processor or system clock
  • System vital product data (VPD)
  • Cabling

Procedure

To resolve the problem, complete the following steps:

  1. On the ASMI Welcome pane, specify your user ID and password, and click Log In.
Note: To perform this operation, your authority level must be administrator or authorized service provider.
  2. In the navigation area, expand System Service Aids > Deconfiguration Records. Are there any deconfiguration record entries listed?
    • Yes: Continue with the next step.
    • No: There might be a cabling problem. Continue with step 7.
  3. Are there any memory or processor deconfiguration record entries listed?
    • Yes: Continue with the next step.
    • No: Continue with step 6.
  4. Memory or processor resources are deconfigured on the system. If the following criteria are met, hardware replacement might not be necessary:
    • Sufficient spare capacity (unlicensed resources) is available.
    • The customer determined that hardware maintenance is not necessary.
    • System firmware 830.00 or later is installed.

Are all of the preceding criteria met?

    • Yes: Continue with the next step.
    • No: Continue with step 6.
  5. Reference code B150F138 continues to be logged every IPL and once a month after the last IPL until hardware is replaced. To disable reference code B150F138 from being logged for the specific deconfiguration event that sent you here, complete the following steps:

    4. Under the Customer Alert column, change the selection to Disabled.
    5. Click Change customer alerts to save the changes.
    This ends the procedure.
