Error in open firmware.

Before you begin

Note: Storage complex repair actions must always be managed from the management console. To replace any FRUs identified in this procedure, use Storage Facility Management > storage facility > Exchange Parts. If the FRUs are listed in this or another Serviceable Event, select them from there.

Procedure

  1. If a location code was reported with the error:
    1. Probing failed for the PCI slot connector. Replace the PCI card in the connector that is specified by the location code. If this does not resolve the problem, replace the backplane on which the slot connector is located.
    2. If you have replaced the PCI card and the backplane and the problem is not resolved, call your next level of support for assistance.
  2. If a location code was not reported with the error, the connector was not found. This problem might be resolved by installing the latest version of Licensed Internal Code (LIC). Call your next level of support for assistance.
