management console. To replace any FRUs identified in this procedure, use . If the FRUs are listed in
this or another Serviceable Event, select them from there.
Procedure
- Is the reference code 1xxx8430, 8431, or 8432?
- Yes, go to step 4.
- No, go to step 2.
- Is the reference code 1xxx840D or 840E?
- Yes, go to step 3.
- No, return to the serviceable event and
perform the following:
- If there are additional FRUs, continue with the next one.
- If there are no additional FRUs, look for other open serviceable
events to repair.
- If there are no other serviceable
events, contact
your next level of support.
This ends the procedure.
- Perform PWR1917 to
set the correct configuration ID. This ends the procedure.
- Is the reference code 1xxx8430?
- Yes, verify that the service processor cable between
the CEC
enclosures is connected and seated correctly. If
the reference code prevails, replace the following, one at a time:
- Service processor card cable (see Exchanging parts)
- System processor backplane assembly -P1 (see Exchanging parts)
This ends the procedure.
- No, go to step 5.
- Is the reference code 1xxx8431?
- Yes, remove the cable that is not needed for system configuration.
If a nonconfigured cable is not present, replace the system backplane (see Exchanging parts). This ends the procedure.
- No, go to step 6.
- Is the reference code 1xxx8432?
- Yes, the number of secondary units is not correct. Go to PWR1917 to
check the system configuration. This ends the procedure.
- No, the reference code has changed, go to step 1.
This ends the procedure.
