MAP20D0 PPS input phase missing

A PPS has reported the loss of an AC input phase, only two phases of the three phase power are being detected. The failure can be internal to the PPS, the AC line cord, or the customer utility.

MAP20D0 Section-1

Procedure

  1. The primary power supply (PPS) must be powered off before continuing at the next step. Return to the repair screen that sent you here to replace the PPS FRU, but stop when the PPS is powered off. Then return here and go to the next step.
  2. Determine if the primary power supply (PPS) is receiving proper three phase power. Reference the customer power checks in the Install information to do the checks. Do all three phases check good?
    • Yes, the PPS is failing. Return to the repair procedure to complete the replacement of the PPS.
    • No, correct the problem, then return to the repair procedure to do a pseudo repair of the PPS. Note: A pseudo repair means that you use the normal procedures to replace the FRU, but do not exchange the original FRU with a new FRU. You still must power off, disconnect cables, and physically remove the FRU as guided. A pseudo repair ensures that the error conditions are properly reset and all verification tests, including FRU power-on self tests, are correctly run.
