MAP4075 Restoring VPD after replacing the CEC enclosure I/O backplane assembly (Models 94x, 95x)

If you replace the I/O backplane assembly in the CEC enclosure, you must manually restore the vital product data (VPD) settings. Use this MAP to restore the settings.

Procedure

Login to the service processor ASM interface from the HMC using the user ID celogin and password FipSce.

From the ASMI navigation, select System Configuration > Program Vital Product Data > System Enclosures, then select the menu option that is listed in the first column of Table 1.

Click Save Settings. The service processor might reboot at this point. Wait until the service processor returns to Standby state before continuing with the next step.
