MAP4A70 Section-2

Procedure

The code update of the host card failed while accessing the port listed in the FRU group. The replace FRU process for the host adapter card automatically attempts to load the latest code available on the host card ports. The host card and the host card ports might not be bad, but instead might only need the code update attempted again. Go to MAP4A70 Section-3.

MAP4A70 Section-3

About this task

The code update of the host cards listed in the FRU group failed. The replace FRU process automatically attempts to load the latest code available on the host card. The host card might not be bad, but instead might only need the code update attempted again.

The host card needs to be quiesced and then resumed to complete the code load process. There are no utilities to do this. Instead, you will do a pseudo parts exchange of the host card. A pseudo parts exchange means you use the serviceable event FRU replace process, but do not disconnect the host cables or remove the host card when prompted.

Procedure

  1. At the same time this procedure was displayed, the PBcommonPostInfoCenterIsolateQuery10 screen was also displayed. Find the PBcommonPostInfoCenterIsolateQuery10 screen and select Problem not fixed. You will then be guided to replace the next FRU in the list, which will be the host card. After that is complete, return here and continue.

Was the pseudo FRU exchange successful?

    • Yes, repeat this process for any other host cards that may be listed in the FRU list. When finished, exit this MAP and close the serviceable event that sent you here.
    • No, repeat the repair, but this time replace the host card with a new FRU. When there are no more host cards needing a code update, exit this MAP and close the serviceable event that sent you here.
  2. Activate CUIR (for the procedure, see the appendix of the Codeload instructions).
  3. Restart Codeload.

MAP4A70 Section-4

Procedure

  1. Display open serviceable events.
  2. Are there any related open serviceable events that list the same device adapter card as a FRU?
    • Yes, exit this MAP, close the serviceable event that sent you here, and then repair the related serviceable event.
    • No, contact your next level of support.
