FSPSP02

This procedure is for boot failures that end very early in the boot process. This error path is indicated when the SRC data words are scrolling automatically through the CEC enclosure control panel functions 11, 12, and 13, and the CEC enclosure control panel interface buttons are not responsive.

Procedure

  1. Reset the service processor. See MAP4810 Resetting the service processor (FSP).
  2. Did resetting the service processor fix the problem?
    • Yes, you have fixed the problem but you should call your next level of support. Further incidents might be prevented by installing the most recent version of Licensed Internal Code (LIC).
    • No, continue with step 3.
  3. Exchange the CEC enclosure system backplane (models 96x, 980, 981) or CEC enclosure service processor (model 982). If it is listed in the serviceable event FRU list, then exit this procedure and replace it using the serviceable event. If it is not listed in the serviceable event FRU list, refer to MAP1230 Replace a FRU without using a serviceable event and then exit this MAP.
If the problem persists call your next level of support for assistance. This problem might be resolved by installing the most recent version of Licensed Internal Code (LIC).
Note: Because of the time required to exchange the CEC enclosure system backplane (which contains the service processor function for the models listed), you might want to contact your next level of support before replacing the part.

What to do next

This ends the procedure.
