A problem has been encountered accessing the CEC enclosure VPD card or the data found on the CEC enclosure has been corrupted. This error occurred before VPD collection was completed, so no location codes have been created.

Before you begin

Note: Storage complex repair actions must always be managed from the management console. To replace any FRUs identified in this procedure, use Storage Facility Management > storage facility > Exchange Parts. If the FRUs are listed in this or another Serviceable Event, select them from there.

Procedure

  1. Replace the CEC enclosure VPD card, see Note above.
  2. Perform a slow boot. See MAP4820 Performing a slow boot of a CEC enclosure.
  3. Does the problem persist?
    • Yes, continue with the next step.
    • No, return to the procedure that sent you here. This ends the procedure.
  4. Replace the CEC enclosure service processor, see Note above.
  5. Perform a slow boot. See MAP4820 Performing a slow boot of a CEC enclosure.
  6. Does the problem persist?
    • Yes, continue with the next step.
    • No, return to the procedure that sent you here. This ends the procedure.
  7. Replace the CEC enclosure I/O planar assembly, see Note above.
